Frequently Asked Questions
What is counselling?
Counselling, also known as talking therapy, can feel scary and daunting at times but it’s a place where you can openly explore and makes sense of experienced difficulties.
My role here is to support YOU. As your counsellor, I will help you through this process, without judgment or telling you what to do. You can decide on goals, what you want to achieve or change.
What happens during initial consultation?
In our first meeting, we will take the time to explore your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to gain from this journey. It’s important to me that we work together in a way that feels comfortable and supportive for you. I genuinely want to ensure that you receive the right guidance, and I hope this initial conversation will help us both feel at ease as we consider the path ahead.
Cancellations
Cmo Counselling operates on 48h cancellation policy.
If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, you may do so without charge by giving at least 48 hours notice. This will give us the opportunity to reschedule your appointment without unnecessary disruptions.
If you do not attend without prior notice or cancel a scheduled appointment with less than 48h, there is an obligation to pay the full amount.
Cancellations can be communicated via phone call, text message or email.
If the counsellor was to reschedule a session, they will give you as much notice as possible.
